Aga Khan University Examination Board, (Aga Khan Board) started working as an independent educational body under the supervision of Aga Khan University earlier in 2003. The main objective behind the establishment of this board was to organize the exams for the private as well as regular students at various levels.
Since its establishment, BISE Aga Khan Board is accountable to hold the exams of matriculation as well as intermediate level along with the exams of various other certifications and diplomas. Every year large numbers of private and regular students gets registered through this board to appear in the annual exams of matric and inter level. At matriculation level, the board organizes the exams of private and regular students at two different levels which include arts and science group while at intermediate level the board organizes the exams for the students at six different groups which include FSc pre-medical, FSc Pre-engineering, Commerce, General science, Fine arts and computer science.

The registration process under the supervision of board officials for matric level students begins in October while ends in December. On the other hand, the registration procedure for intermediate level students begins in December and ends in January. Every year BISE Aga Khan organizes SSC Part 1 annual in March after the completion of 10th class exams. This year also board follows the same educational policy for conducting exams and held the SSC Part 1 exams in mid of March.
